  1. What sane person would buy a Fkn Condo on a High rise Building in a EARTHQUAKE ridden City!?! A 4.1Mil condo at that? Idiots-

  2. I would fill the basement with gravel around mechanical jacks that could be continually adjusted and fitted against the foundation/support beams (to be easily reinforced, if necessary) at street level from bellow. The jacks would be imbedded in the gravel. (If did it right, you could literally elevate the building, grade the gravel to spec, and lower it back down onto the gravel bed, like the Marriott hotel a few blocks away, a al Frank Lloyd Wright.) The basement would be rendered useless, as it should be. End of story. Very (relatively) simple/cheap fix. This building, (and no high-rise) should ever have a basement in the first place (especially on land fill). It's fueled by greed and a dash of machismo. Greed, greed, greed. The City was paid off. I guarantee it.

  3. Earthquake resistance in sand… pffft… stupid statement… wonder if the leaning tower of Pisa is actually more sound ?

  4. $4 million for a hole in a wall? Imagine going to TEXAS and buying acres of land, a huge 6,000 sq. ft. home with a gym, indoor pool, horses, shooting range, garden, all away from tall buildings and millions of people. Ah, why live like a hamster and pay though the nose when they could live free like a hawk.

  5. SF … Stop hiring for quota and start hiring the best for the job maybe ? This is what happens and I think its karma

  6. To fixed this tower … they need to EVACUATE ALL TENANTS and all BUSINESSES there be closed, remove all cars at the garage, close all streets surrounding the millennium tower TEMPORARILY till done. Remove the windows at the first floor and put a long I beam from mission street to under the salesforce park using huge JACKS lifting the tower to its original position and within the middle or near curve of the building facing Fremont street, 2 giant cranes supporting the beams from falling to the ground and stabilize the tower while drilling the hole. This is just a suggestion and not accurate at all about this if it will work or not but for me it’s better than drilling without supporting the fall of the tower nor stabilize it while doing drilling. This, my prediction, the traffic will be taking at least half year to more than a year to prevent corrosion within tower area

  7. You can imagine the realtors sales pitch. "And this is the wonderful view you will have just before you meet your maker"

  8. Pro Tip: if you''re going to purchase and habitate in a concrete box with many concrete boxes above and below you, make sure the concrete boxes are secured to the bedrock.

  9. So, instead of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we’re gonna have the sinking tower of California

  10. Boo hoo. These millionaires are the very reason for SF's alarming homelessness rate. They have destroyed the housing market and priced out everyone but their fellow millionaires. Too bad their building won't actually collapse because we all know if a public housing project across town was in a similar situation, it would be ignored. Nothing would have made me happier than seeing those greedy millionaires going.

  11. It will take many buildings crumbling to the ground before people realize the owners of the buildings don’t give a shit. They are already rich.

And…..when the building falls and people die they will give the families 1 million dollars and still come out cheaper than having it demolished or fixed in general.

  12. The following are the wise words of GOD THE SON OF THE FATHER JESUS CHRIST :

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

    Matthew 7:24-27

    King James Version

  13. All that weight on land will sink..should not build past a certain height..
and what goes up, must come down..

  14. Uranus in Taurus if you know, you know. This will be happening more for the next 5 yrs or so. There will be a lot of sudden changes negative/positive. The purpose of the transit is to shake up any foundations(that have anything to to with Taurus) built on faulty, false, or instability and renew, innovative, or start over with something that will work long term or last(Uranus).

  15. That's why you never build something so huge it has to go back down to earth sometimes maybe learn a lesson about not cutting corners to save profit or maybe just try not to conversate so much it doesn't have to be huge to get the job done 🙃
